Luka is a gorgeous 1-year-old Doberman Pinscher, owned by Katie of Von Schwarz Doberman Kennel.  This pretty girl suffers from Congenital Renal Dysplasia. I use the term “suffers” quite loosely, as she’s got a fantastic quality of life and her biggest issue is wetting the bed 😉 She undergoes routine dialysis and is on several medications, but if you asked me, I’d say Luka doesn’t even know she’s got this disease!

Luka’s life expectancy is unfortunately very short, so her Momma scheduled a Devoted Hearts session with me to capture some beautiful images of her to cherish forever. We met at the Sewickley Heights Dog Park for an evening session last week, and I’m so thrilled to share her photos with you all!

Luka’s best outtake was a photo of her coughing up all of the grass she insisted upon eating during our session. I love Katie’s expression when she was teasing Luka!
